| Wh-questions là những câu hỏi thường được bắt đầu bằng “Wh” hoặc “H" như: What, Where, Who, When, Why, How often, How many. Cấu trúc:

Wh-questions là những câu hỏi thường được bắt đầu bằng “Wh” hoặc “H". Sau đây là cách dùng của các Wh-question trong chương trình lớp 6:
| Wh-questions | Ý nghĩa | Cách dùng |
| What | Cái gì | Hỏi về sự mô tả, loại, hoặc thông tin cụ thể về một vật, sự việc, hoặc sự thực. |
| Where | Ở đâu | Hỏi về vị trí hoặc nơi một sự việc xảy ra. |
| When | Khi nào | Hỏi về thời gian hoặc lịch trình một sự việc. |
| Who | Ai | Hỏi về danh tính hoặc người liên quan đến một sự việc. |
| Why | Tại sao | Hỏi về lý do hoặc mục đích của một sự việc. |
| How often | Tần suất bao nhiêu | Hỏi về tần suất hoặc thường xuyên diễn ra của một hành động hay sự kiện nào đó |
| How many | Bao nhiêu | Hỏi về số lượng đếm được của một vật, người hoặc sự việc. |
Ví dụ:

Có 2 trường hợp để chúng ta xây dựng một câu hỏi wh: không có trợ động từ; có trợ động từ.
Cấu trúc: Wh + V chính
Ví dụ:
- Who invited you to the party? (Ai đã mời bạn đến buổi tiệc?)
- Who is the author of this book? (Ai là tác giả cuốn sách này?)
Cấu trúc: Wh + trợ động từ (do,have) hoặc động từ khuyết thiếu + S + V chính
Ví dụ:
- What did you eat for dinner last night? (Bạn ăn gì vào bữa tối tối qua?)
- Why do they always arrive late to meetings? (Tại sao họ luôn đến muộn cuộc họp?)
