1. Tổng hợp lý thuyết về thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Trong tiếng Anh, thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (Present Continuous Tense) là một thì quan trọng được sử dụng để diễn tả các hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói hoặc trong khoảng thời gian bao gồm thời điểm nói.

1.1. Công thức thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Sau đây là cấu trúc của thì hiện tại tiếp diễn:

Trong đó:

• Chủ ngữ I + am
• Chủ ngữ He, She, It, danh từ số ít, danh từ không đếm được + is
• Chủ ngữ You, We, They, danh từ số nhiều + are

1.2. Cách dùng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Theo từ điển Cambridge, thì hiện tại tiếp diễn được sử dụng để: 

• Diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra tại thời điểm nói:

Ví dụ: I'm watching TV right now. (Tôi đang xem TV ngay bây giờ.)

• Diễn tả tình trạng tạm thời đang diễn ra trong hiện tại:

Ví dụ: I am staying at a hotel this week because my house is being painted. (Tôi đang ở khách sạn tuần này vì nhà tôi đang được sơn sửa.)

• Diễn tả hành động thường xuyên xảy ra nhưng được cho là tạm thời:

Ví dụ: She is volunteering at a local charity shop every weekend. (Cô ấy tình nguyện tại một cửa hàng từ thiện địa phương vào mỗi cuối tuần.)

• Diễn tả sự thay đổi từ từ:

Ví dụ: The city is changing a lot these days. (Thành phố đang thay đổi rất nhiều dạo này.)

• Diễn tả hành động xảy ra thường xuyên, nhưng ngoài dự tính và thường là ngoài ý muốn hay với mục đích phàn nàn:

Ví dụ: The baby is crying again. (Em bé lại khóc nữa rồi.)

• Diễn tả một dự định hay một kế hoạch được sắp xếp từ trước:

Ví dụ: We are going to the cinema tonight. (Chúng tôi sẽ đi xem phim tối nay.)

1.3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết của thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Để làm tốt bài tập thì hiện tại tiếp diễn lớp 6, ngoài cấu trúc ngữ pháp thì các bạn cần nắm chắc dấu hiệu nhận biết của thì. Dưới đây là dấu hiệu nhận biết phổ biến của thì hiện tại tiếp diễn: 

Diễn tả thời điểm hiện tại:

• Now: Bây giờ
• Right now: Ngay bây giờ
• At the moment: Lúc này
• At present: Hiện tại
• Today: Hôm nay
• This week: Tuần này
• This month: Tháng này
• This year: Năm nay
• At + giờ: Ví dụ: "At 10 o'clock" (Vào lúc 10 giờ)

Diễn tả khoảng thời gian hiện tại:

• These days: Dạo này
• Nowadays: Thời gian gần đây
• This week/month/year, …

Câu mệnh lệnh:

• Look!: Nhìn kìa!
• Watch out!: Coi chừng!
• Listen!: Nghe này!
• Keep silent!: Hãy giữ im lặng!
• Don't make noise!: Đừng làm ồn!
• Hurry up!: Hãy nhanh lên!

2. Một số lưu ý khi giải bài tập thì hiện tại tiếp diễn lớp 6

Dưới đây là một số lưu ý quan trọng khi giải bài tập thì hiện tại tiếp diễn lớp 6: 

• Quên động từ "tobe": Do cấu trúc của thì này bao gồm "be" + động từ chính dạng V-ing, nhiều người thường bỏ sót động từ "be".

Ví dụ sai: I playing football now. (Chủ ngữ thiếu động từ "be")

Sửa: I am playing football now. (Đã thêm động từ "be" vào chủ ngữ)

• Quên đuôi "-ing" cho động từ thường:

Ví dụ sai: She read a book in the library. (Động từ thiếu đuôi "-ing")

Sửa: She is reading a book in the library. (Đã thêm đuôi "-ing" cho động từ "read")

• Nhầm lẫn giữa thì hiện tại đơn và hiện tại tiếp diễn: Hai thì này có thể gây nhầm lẫn vì đều diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra. Bạn cần phân biệt được 2 thì này diễn tả những hành động khác nhau, trong đó:
• Hiện tại đơn: Diễn tả hành động lặp đi lặp lại, thói quen, sự thật hiển nhiên.
• Hiện tại tiếp diễn: Diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra tại thời điểm nói, hành động tạm thời, sự thay đổi.

Ví dụ: Hiện tại đơn: She eats breakfast every morning. (Thói quen)

Hiện tại tiếp diễn: She is eating breakfast right now. (Hành động đang diễn ra)

• Lẫn lộn giữa thì tương lai đơn và hiện tại tiếp diễn: Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn cũng có thể được sử dụng để diễn tả hành động trong tương lai đã được lên kế hoạch cụ thể. Tuy nhiên, cần phân biệt rõ:
• Tương lai đơn: Diễn tả hành động, dự định sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai mà không có kế hoạch cụ thể.
• Hiện tại tiếp diễn: Diễn tả hành động đã được lên kế hoạch cụ thể và sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai.

Ví dụ: Sai: The train leaves at 10 o'clock tomorrow. 

Sửa: The train is leaving at 10 o'clock tomorrow.
