1.3. Giới từ đi với các mùa tiếng Anh

Các mùa bằng tiếng Anh sẽ đi với giới từ “in”. Cụ thể như sau:

In Spring: vào mùa Xuân

My favorite season in England is winter. A typical English winter would last around 4 or 5 months between November and March, but when I say that I like the winter, I’m really thinking about the coldest month or two each year.

During those really wintry months, the temperature drops below zero and it often snows. Over the last few years we’ve had periods of quite heavy snowfall, to the extent that roads have been blocked and schools have had to close. Last winter I remember looking out of the window one morning and seeing everything covered in a layer of white.

Obviously the snow is what differentiates winter from the other seasons, but when it doesn’t snow there isn’t much difference between winter, autumn and spring; winter is just a bit colder.

The reason I’ve chosen winter as my favorite season is because I like the snow. I live near the countryside, and the landscape looks beautiful when everything is covered in white. We also celebrate Christmas and New Year in the winter, and these are my favorite festivals.

Although summertime temperatures in California can easily be over 40 degrees Celsius, I still quite enjoy it as this is the time of the year when all outdoor activities are available and open to the public. Besides being hot, it tends to be quite dry and it rarely rains. In fact, we've had summers when we didn't get even a drop of rain.

Summer in California is very different from all other seasons. The hot and sunny days are clearly what differentiates the summer from the rest. Spring and fall are much cooler and they can be windy with more chances of rain. And during the winter, temperatures can drop below zero, precipitation becomes much more frequent, and higher elevations may get a lot of snow.

Summer is my favorite season because that's when I can enjoy the outdoors. I don't mind getting a sun tan and I particularly like hiking in the mountains because that's when I can get away from the city to relax, breathe fresh air, enjoy the beautiful sceneries, and get lots of photo opportunities. During the entire summer, 99% of the time is sunny, so I don't need to worry about the rain or anything that can ruin my trips. Summer is just perfect for me!

My favorite season is spring. Where I grew up, spring usually falls in the months of March and April, although depending on the year it may begin or end earlier or later. It is a brief season, but it is a pleasant one. People tend to be in a good mood during this time of year because it has a pleasant climate, with mild weather. After a long, cold winter, the warm spring temperatures are a welcome change. They rise to a range of between fifteen and twenty-five degrees Celsius, which I think is much more pleasant than the freezing winter or sweltering summer. In the springtime, I do many things that are impossible in winter and uncomfortable in summer. I like to go outside and do activities like hiking and rock climbing. The spring weather is perfect for this because the high humidity has not yet set in. It’s also really pretty in spring because the flowers are in bloom and the animals are giving birth so there is a sense of color and life in the hills. Moreover, spring in my country is pretty dry and so you don’t have to worry too much about carrying an umbrella. People do a lot of sports outdoors at this time of year, and I find it’s the time when I get the most exercise too. This is probably why I like spring the most. It’s just an all-round pleasant time of year when you can do what you want without worrying about harsh weather conditions.

Personally, I like the "autumn" season the most. In our country, autumn lasts a little less than three months - starting from August and sometimes from mid-August. During this season, the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. We usually divide autumn into two parts - early autumn and late autumn, each lasting around a month and two weeks. Well, during the early autumn, soft, light clouds hang or hover around the sky, but it hardly rains. The weather and the temperature are just perfect. The blue sky that is reflected on the crystal clear water of the lake gives a sensational look to nature. It is also the season of harvest and festivals. The ripe crops, fruits and vegetables are ready for harvesting and the happy farmers cut them and load them into wagons. It is also the season of different delicacy, carnival, rewards and joy. Autumn is my favorite season because the weather is ideal during this season. It is not chilling cold or uncomfortably hot. Since my childhood, I have had a soft spot for this perfect weather perhaps because I could participate in many outdoor activities during autumn than summer or winter seasons. I also like this season because it brings hope, festivity, possibility and prosperity to the farmers and rural people in our country. The spirit, joy and aspiration get renewed during this season which also contributes to making autumn my favorite season.
