So sánh nhất là một trong những cấu trúc ngữ pháp quan trọng và thường xuyên xuất hiện trong các bài thi tiếng Anh. Bài viết này sẽ giúp bạn nắm vững cách sử dụng so sánh nhất thông qua các ví dụ cụ thể và bài tập về so sánh nhất sau đây. 

1. Tổng hợp các cấu trúc so sánh nhất

So sánh nhất là dạng so sánh dùng để thể hiện một người, vật hoặc sự việc nào đó có đặc điểm hay tính chất nổi bật nhất so với tất cả các đối tượng khác trong cùng một nhóm (nhóm này phải có ít nhất 3 đối tượng).

Ví dụ:  This is the most challenging task I've ever faced. (Đây là nhiệm vụ khó khăn nhất mà tôi từng đối mặt.)

Có 3 loại cấu trúc so sánh nhất, bao gồm: Tính từ ngắn, trạng từ ngắn; Tính từ dài, trạng từ dài và So sánh kém nhất.

1.1. So sánh hơn nhất với tính từ/trạng từ ngắn

Cấu trúc: S + V + the + adj/adv + est + N

Ví dụ:

• This is the smallest room in the house. (Đây là căn phòng nhỏ nhất trong nhà.)

• She speaks the fastest among all the contestants. (Cô ấy nói nhanh nhất trong số tất cả các thí sinh.)

• It's the darkest night I've ever experienced. (Đó là đêm tối nhất mà tôi từng trải qua.)

1.2. So sánh hơn nhất với tính từ/trạng từ dài

Cấu trúc: S + V + the + most + adj/adv + N

Ví dụ:

• This is the most difficult puzzle I've ever solved. (Đây là câu đố khó nhất mà tôi từng giải quyết.)

• He is the most talented musician in the band. (Anh ấy là nhạc sĩ tài năng nhất trong ban nhạc.)

• She has the most beautifully decorated house on the block. (Cô ấy có căn nhà trang trí đẹp nhất trên con đường.)

1.3. So sánh kém nhất

Cấu trúc: S + V + the least + Tính từ/Trạng từ + Noun/ Pronoun/ Clause

Ví dụ:

• She's the least athletic of all her siblings.(Cô ấy là người ít thể thao nhất trong số tất cả các anh chị em của mình.)

• Despite being the least experienced member of the team, she contributed the most innovative ideas. (Mặc dù là thành viên ít kinh nghiệm nhất trong nhóm, cô ấy đã đóng góp những ý tưởng sáng tạo nhất.)

• Despite having the least amount of resources, they managed to achieve the most significant results. (Mặc dù có ít tài nguyên nhất, họ đã đạt được kết quả quan trọng nhất.)

2. Lưu ý quan trọng khi làm bài tập so sánh nhất

2.1. Quy tắc biến đổi tính từ trong câu so sánh nhất

Khi làm bài tập so sánh nhất, các bạn cần ghi nhớ các quy tắc cơ bản sau:

Quy tắc 1: Biến đổi tính từ/ trạng từ ngắn

Nếu như trong so sánh hơn, cần thêm đuôi -er vào tính từ/trạng từ thì trong bài tập so sánh nhất, bạn cần thêm đuôi -est vào tính từ/trạng từ để biến nó thành dạng so sánh nhất.

Ví dụ:

• This is the tallest building in the city. (Đây là tòa nhà cao nhất trong thành phố.)

• He runs the fastest of all the students. (Cậu ấy chạy nhanh nhất trong tất cả học sinh.)

Lưu ý: Nếu tính từ/trạng từ ngắn có tận cùng là y, ta cần đổi y thành i trước khi thêm -est hoặc -er.

Quy tắc 2: Biến đổi tính từ/ trạng từ dài

Chúng ta cần thêm most vào phía trước tính từ/trạng từ để biến nó thành dạng so sánh nhất.

Ví dụ:

• This is the most beautiful painting I have ever seen. (Đây là bức tranh đẹp nhất tôi từng thấy.)

• He is the most intelligent person I know. (Anh ấy là người thông minh nhất tôi biết.)

Ngoại lệ 1: Một số tính từ có hai âm tiết nhưng có đuôi -le, -y, -ow, -er, -et vẫn được coi là tính từ ngắn. Điển hình là:

Ngoại lệ 2: Trong trường hợp bài tập so sánh hơn nhất có trạng từ hai âm tiết tận cùng bằng -ly, bạn cần lưu ý giữ nguyên trạng từ và thêm most vào trước.

2.2. Các lỗi thường gặp khi làm bài tập so sánh nhất

Khi làm bài tập câu so sánh nhất, nếu không chú ý và cẩn thận bạn rất có thể mắc phải các lỗi sai phổ biến sau: 

Nhầm lẫn so sánh hơn và so sánh nhất

Chúng ta chỉ sử dụng so sánh nhất khi có ba hoặc nhiều hơn chủ thể. Trong khi câu so sánh hơn được dùng trong trường hợp hai người, vật thể hay sự việc. 

Ví dụ: 

• This book is more interesting than that book. (Cuốn sách này thú vị hơn cuốn sách kia.)

• She is the most beautiful woman in the world. (Cô ấy là người phụ nữ đẹp nhất thế giới.)

Sử dụng so sánh hai lần trong một câu

Khi viết câu so sánh hơn hoặc so sánh nhất, ta chỉ áp dụng một trong hai cách sau:

• Thêm hậu tố "er/est" cho trạng từ/tính từ ngắn.
• Thêm từ "more/most" trước trạng từ/tính từ dài.

Tuy nhiên, nhiều người mắc lỗi lồng ghép cả hai cấu trúc vào cùng một câu, dẫn đến sai ngữ pháp.

Ví dụ:

Sai: This is the most tastiest cake I've ever eaten.

=> Đúng: This is the tastiest cake I've ever eaten. (Đây là chiếc bánh ngon nhất mà tôi từng ăn.)

Sai: She is the most kindest person I know.

=> Đúng: She is the kindest person I know. (Cô ấy là người tốt bụng nhất mà tôi biết.)

Không sử dụng "other" hoặc "else" 

Bên cạnh đó, chúng ta cần lưu ý sử dụng các đại từ bất định như "other" hoặc "else"  khi so sánh một sự việc hay cá thể nào đó với phần còn lại của một nhóm. 

Ví dụ:

Sai: This test is harder than any test I've ever done. (Bài kiểm tra này khó hơn bất kỳ bài kiểm tra nào tôi từng làm.)

=> Đúng: This test is harder than any other test I've ever done. (Bài kiểm tra này khó hơn bất kỳ bài kiểm tra nào khác mà tôi từng làm.)

I wanted to share with you my recent experience attending a coding bootcamp. The curriculum was more (1)_______ than I had expected. We covered a wide range of topics, from basic programming principles to advanced algorithms, and I must say, it was the most (2)_______ educational experience I've (3)_______ had.
